Nós já ouvíamos e colecionávamos Roots Reggae há anos mas só no dia em que sentimos o sistema de som “Jah Lightning and Thunder” do grande ABA SHANTI-I a abanar os nossos ossos é que tudo mudou⚡️O facto de termos estado naquele dia naquela esquina do Notting Hill Carnival fez com que decidíssemos construir um sistema de som pois, para nós, ouvir reggae nunca mais foi a mesma coisa.

23 anos depois, e com mais de 250 horas vividas em sessões do ABA SHANTI-I, ainda sentimos aquele arrepio na pele quando nos lembramos da primeira vez que vivenciamos essa experiência. E é com essa sensação em mente, até porque o que é bom partilha-se, que na nossa próxima sessão vos apresentamos ao vivo e a cores o grande e único ABA SHANTI-I, soundman, selecta e produtor a tocar no nosso sistema de som no Musicbox Lisboa ❤️

É difícil entender o que é uma sessão do ABA SHANTI-I sem que a tenham sentido na pele e sido levados pela vibração transmitida por este mestre a fazer a sua arte, por isso vos recomendamos vivamente que venham presenciar esta lenda viva do UK Dub no dia 7 de Março! We had been listening to and digging Roots Reggae for years, but it wasn’t until we felt the sound of Jah Lightning and Thunder from the Mighty ABA SHANTI-I sound system in our bones that everything changed. The fact that we were on that Notting Hill Carnival blessed corner led us to build our own sound system, because for us reggae sounded different from that day onwards. 23 years later and more than 250 hours enjoying ABA SHANTI-I perform, we still get goosebumps every time we hit that memory and the only way to keep inspired is to carry on listening to our teacher.

With that in mind, we want to present our family with the one and only ABA SHANTI-I – soundman, selecta and producer – in session with our sound system, in the city of Lisbon, on the 7th March ❤️ It’s hard to describe what an ABA SHANTI-I session is like without felling it in your body, be taken off your feet by the pressure and the selection of this master doing what he does best. We cannot recommend it highly enough. There probably wouldn’t be a Simply Rockers Sound System without that blessed and glorious day when we saw this living legend for the first time. Get ready for an earth shaking experience Musicbox Lisboa from the Earth Rocker himself.

On our part you can count on a tuned sound and a selection that goes from Roots to Steppa, always keeping it conscious.
