“O Sonho de D. Quixote” é um espetáculo de dança inspirado em um dos bailados mais famosos do mundo, baseado no romance homónimo de Miguel de Cervantes. Com música de Ludwig Minkus, esta peça é uma criação original da Balletvita que celebra algumas das mais conhecidas variações de dança clássica de Marius Petipa. A obra mistura dança contemporânea, mantendo o caráter popular espanhol, e nos transporta para um mundo de fantasia e sonho.

A história centra-se nas aventuras do sonhador cavaleiro Dom Quixote e do seu fiel escudeiro Sancho Pança, além de contar a história de amor entre o barbeiro Basílio e a jovem Kitri. Apaixonados, mas sem o consentimento das famílias, eles precisam fugir e lutar para ficarem juntos. Dom Quixote, acreditando que Kitri é uma princesa em perigo, intervém para ajudá-la, dando início a uma série de enredos cómicos.

💃 THE DREAM OF DON QUIXOTE | Dance 💃

“The Dream of Don Quixote” is a dance performance inspired by one of the most famous ballets in the world, based on the eponymous novel by Miguel de Cervantes. With music by Ludwig Minkus, this piece is an original creation by Balletvita, celebrating some of the most famous classical dance variations by Marius Petipa. The work blends contemporary dance while maintaining the popular Spanish character, transporting us into a world of fantasy and dreams.

The story focuses on the adventures of the dreamer knight Don Quixote and his loyal squire Sancho Panza, as well as the love story between the barber Basilio and the young Kitri. Passionate, but without the consent of their families, they must escape and fight to be together. Don Quixote, believing that Kitri is a princess in danger, intervenes to help her, starting a series of comedic plots.
