Daniel Felstead apresenta a talk “Welcome to Jankspace, babes”, uma reflexão sobre o caos estético da cultura digital quotidiana, os nossos corpos mediados e desarranjados, e os delírios do transhumanismo. Através do conceito de “Jankspace”, o autor propõe uma leitura crítica e provocadora sobre os resíduos tecnológicos e os seus impactos simbólicos e sensoriais no corpo e na cultura.
📚 Sobre o orador:
Daniel Felstead é coordenador do mestrado em Fashion Media & Communication no London College of Fashion (UAL), com uma prática que cruza arte, tecnologia e performance. Tem falado e exposto em instituições de renome internacional como a Transmediale, V&A Museum, ICA, Global Art Forum e RISD. Recentemente, produziu curtas-metragens sobre os mitos e realidades do metaverso, IA e biotecnologia.

Daniel Felstead presents the talk “Welcome to Jankspace, babes”, exploring the aesthetic disarray of digital culture, our mediated and disoriented bodies, and the foolish fantasies of transhumanism. Using the notion of “Jankspace,” he critically examines technological residue and its impact on our bodies and sensorial experiences.
📚 About the speaker:
Daniel Felstead is the MA Fashion Media & Communication course leader at London College of Fashion (UAL). His work bridges art, technology, and speculative performance. He has spoken at and exhibited internationally at Transmediale, the V&A Museum, ICA, Global Art Forum, and more. Recently, he has produced acclaimed short films on the metaverse, AI, biotechnology, and neural media.
