Através de obras de compositores que viveram e reagiram aos desafios da guerra, o público poderá refletir sobre como a música pode exaltar, lamentar e consolar.

O programa inclui a famosa Wellingtons Sieg de Ludwig van Beethoven, que foi inspirada pela derrota das tropas francesas na batalha de 1813, e ainda obras de Charles Gounod e Edward Elgar, dois grandes nomes da música clássica.

🎶 Between Wars — From the Napoleonic Invasions to World War I 🎶
On May 16, 2025, at 7 PM, Teatro Aberto presents the concert Between Wars, exploring the role of music in times of war and violence. Through works by composers who lived through and reacted to the challenges of war, the audience will reflect on how music can exalt, lament, and console.

The program includes the famous Wellingtons Sieg by Ludwig van Beethoven, inspired by the defeat of French troops in the 1813 battle, as well as works by Charles Gounod and Edward Elgar, two icons of classical music.
