cafuné – you é um projeto de arte multimédia com foco na exploração da relação com o espaço que habitamos e como a percepção do mesmo muda em função das experiências que este transmite.
O projeto revela a história íntima da estadia de 6 meses de Bárbara em Lisboa.
Reflete a percepção e experiência de sentir-se apaixonado, a ligação e subsequente separação, abandono e como esta relação influência a percepção do espaço – da sala, as ruas, a cidade. Esta forte experiência emocional do sentimento de amor e da dependência numa pessoa e a sua subsequente perda fornece um caminho de auto-reflexão para a cura e como o seu processo de compreensão abre um sentimento partilhado de dor e compaixão. Neste estado emocional, as memórias e imagens da pessoa amada preenchem cada espaço de experiência que vivemos. Retrata uma imagem sentimental e patética da frase muito empregue por uma pessoa apaixonada – “Vejo-te em todo o lado”.
O objetivo do projeto é revelar os pensamentos, sentimentos e experiências de uma relação que tem estado em segredo. O íntimo e o privado tornam-se públicos.

Barbara Gocníková é uma artista visual da fronteira eslovaco-húngara. A sua investigação centra-se na comunicação entre o sujeito e o meio envolvente, o papel/posição do sujeito em relação a um ambiente. O objetivo da sua pesquisa é encontrar uma intersubjetividade da percepção do ambiente em que nos encontramos. Na sua prática artística está a experimentar a terminologia da impressão. Barbara Gocníková possui um mestrado da Academia de Belas Artes e Design em Bratislava – Impressão e Outros Media. O seu percurso académico passou também pela Polônia e Japão. É a autora e administradora do projeto da exposição colectiva – SPLEEN. Colaborou com o centro Kalab em Bratislava como parte de um projeto de arte coletivo – Please wait meeting host will let you in soon (2021). Atualmente ela está a trabalhar como assistente artística em Lisboa.

cafuné – you is a multimedia art project with a focus on exploring the relationship with the space we inhabit and how the perception of space changes depending on the experiences we have had.
The project reveals the intimate story of the artist’s 6-month stay in Lisbon. It reflects the perception and experience of feeling in love, the connection and subsequent separation, abandonment and how this relationship influences the perception of the space – of the room, the streets, the city. This strong emotional experience of feeling of love and dependent on a person and their subsequent loss provides a pathway for self-reflection for the healing process, and with its process of understanding opens a shared sense of pain and compassion. In this emotional state the memories and images of the loved person fill every space of experience we dwell. It portrays a sentimental and pathetic image of the well-worn phrase of a person in love – “I see you everywhere”.
The aim of the project is to reveal the thoughts, feelings and experiences of a relationship that has been in secret. The intimate and private become public.

Barbara Gocníková is a visual artist from the Slovak-Hungarian border. Her artistic research focuses on the communication between the subject and the surrounding, the subject’s role/position in relation to an environment. The aim of her research is to find an intersubjectivity of perception of the environment in which we find ourselves. In her artistic practice, she is experimenting with print terminology. Barbara Gocníková holds a master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava – Print and Other Media. Her academic career also passed through Poland and Japan. She is the author and project manager of the collective exhibition-SPLEEN. She collaborated with the Kalab centre in Bratislava as part of a collective art project-Please wait meeting host will let you in soon (2021). She is currently working as an artistic assistant in Lisbon.
