Founder of seminal label Downwards records, he has been signing some spine-tingling, bewildering stuff that ranges from shoegaze to drone to industrial, having put out some of Surgeon’s early music. Co-founder of revered projects in dance music history, namely British Murder Boys and Sandwell District, this is an artist who works brilliantly as a creator, as a collaborator and at elevating other artists.
