Sketch & Swap

Lisbon-based food and table design artist Mairead  (@maireadillustrates) and book connoisseur Marta @litulla are planning a truly unforgettable event for readers and art lovers alike. If spending an evening creating beautiful art, eating delicious food and swapping books with new local friends sounds like your type of party, you need a ticket asap!

ABOUT THE PARTY
The event will take place at Mila (R. Santos-O-Velho 38), on Saturday, September 30th, from 5pm until 7h30pm. We will sit at a table with beautiful vibrant tablescapes and do a series of book-inspired drawing exercises before closing our evening with a book swap.

There’ll be delicious finger food and drinks by Mila’s team, artist-grade materials, and lots of books to swap amongst ourselves!

BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW TO DRAW…
That’s totally fine. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or haven’t picked up a brush since kindergarten, the sole purpose of this event is for everyone to have fun and be creative in a chill, laidback environment. Plus, Mairead will be there to guide you along the way.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
Just yourself and your books!

THE BOOKS
The book swap will take place at the end of the event, so make sure you can stay until then! You can bring as many books as you like (ideally, at least two), but they must be written in English and must be in good condition. You can take home the same amount of books you brought to the swap, so feel free to go wild and bring a tote full of your fave reads.
