O Livro dos Sons dava início ao que seria um plano, com Ingo Ahmels, de divulgação da obra do compositor alemão. Com a pandemia em surdina, eis finalmente o arranque de Hans Otte : Sound of Sounds, um festival destinado a fazer ecoar as múltiplas artes de Otte, em concertos, exposições e conferências. Num concerto feito para a nossa sala, acolhemos um momento muito especial, com repertório de Hans Otte e John Cage, interpretado por Joana Gama e Margaret Leng Tan, esta última figura incontornável na história do piano e uma das maiores intérpretes do compositor norte-americano. Oriente:Ocidente foi idealizado e supervisionado por Ahmels, em homenagem a Hans Otte, para quem foi assistente na fase final da sua carreira. The Book of Sounds gave rise to what would be a plan, implemented together with Ingo Ahmels, to disseminate the work of the German composer. With the pandemic losing force, here finally is the launch of Sound of Sounds, an event intended to reveal the multiple arts of Otte, in concerts, exhibitions and conversations. In a concert specially designed for our auditorium, we host a very special moment, with a repertoire by Hans Otte and John Cage, performed by Joana Gama and Margaret Leng Tan, this latter figure being a major reference in the history of the piano and one of the greatest interpreters of the American composer. East:West was idealised and supervised by Ahmels, in tribute to Hans Otte, for whom he worked as an assistant in the final phase of his career.
